Adam-Ondi-Ahman

Travelling north on Missouri Highway 13, just north of Gallatin, Missouri (just about three miles or so), on the left side of the road,  the sign below welcomes you to Adam-Ondi-Ahman:

Taking a right hand turn just inside the gate, the gravel road will eventually lead one to the top of Spring Hill, identified as Adam-Ondi-Ahman by the Lord in Doctrine and Covenants Section 116.
Just beyond the top of Adam-Ondi-Ahman is what is called Tower Hill, where remains of a Nephite Altar were found as the Saints explored the area in the 1830's. The picture below is what the end of Tower Hill above the valley looks like today.

At the opposite end of the valley, there is an overlook with a wonderful view of the Valley of Adam-Ondi-Ahman. The tree line in the distance is the Grand River, where Lyman Wight operated a ferry. The valley is currently farm land. This picture was taken in late September, when some of the crops were ready for harvest. It is a composite of five snapshots melded together through the magic of Paint Shop Pro. On the far right, the hill with trees is Tower Hill.
