Alexander Doniphan

 

There is a great article in the works on General Doniphan, being written by the wife of one of Alexander Hale Smith's descendants. Alexander was named for the man who was so entwined with the Latter-day Saint's Missouri experience.

General Doniphan is buried in Liberty, only a few blocks from the Liberty Jail Visitors Center.
